About Roark

C.F. Roark was founded by Charles Roark (Fred to his friends and family) in 1949. Since then, the company has grown to four facilities with two divisions: Electron Beam Welding and Engineered Fabrication. Roark specializes in fusing and fabricating complex and highly-engineered metals. They work within the military, aerospace, shipbuilding, energy, nuclear science and engineering industries. They are a trusted source for OEM parts.

The company is still owned and operated by the Roark family. Now in their third generation, the company is celebrating 75 years in business in 2024.

Roark EB Welding

Roark EB Welding is a Midwestern-based, certified, electron beam welding service provider that joins complex metal parts in a clean environment by means of controlled fusion technology. We work with manufacturers of small to large metal components that require precision welding, made of high-temperature or reactive metals, or are highly sensitive to contamination. Our services provide manufacturers a highly technical and effective way to meld difficult metal components and produce quality and compliant parts.

This is accomplished by:

  • Offering a variety of EB welding equipment that can handle both large and small parts
  • Performing all EB Welds in a vacuum chamber that is devoid of extraneous gases
  • Achieving NADCAP, ISO 9001/AS9100D, ITAR, NAVSEA, FAA Repair Station certifications
  • Operating in 110,0002’ of manufacturing space across three facilities in the Midwest and one on the east coast, dedicated to metal welding and fabrication
  • Offering research and development services to our customers
  • Providing engineering experts that solve complex metals and fusion problems
  • Responding quickly to customer requests and communicating thoroughly with them throughout the entire process
  • Offering flexible scheduling to our customers
